From this autumn, public sector bodies can purchase Passenger’s market-leading Customer Experience Platform via the G-Cloud 14 Digital Marketplace and the National Mobilities Procurement Hub. The IT procurement framework agreements ensure that buying Passenger’s innovative digital technology is faster and cheaper, with increased transparency for the taxpayer.
Both frameworks use Crown Commercial Service-based contracts, making it easier for procurement teams to manage and deliver the purchase of professional software on behalf of their stakeholders.
The UK government’s G-Cloud 14 is a digital marketplace with over 30,000 services from approved suppliers that have confirmed how they work and what services they offer. Similarly, the National Mobilities Procurement Hub from Smart Applications Management (SAM) establishes easy access to pre-approved suppliers, focusing on products and services designed specifically for public transport.
The National Mobilities Procurement Hub includes Passenger as an approved supplier of its ‘Mobile Ticketing Apps including Mobility as a Service (MaaS)’ Framework 6 agreement.
UK local transport authorities looking to deliver on policy priorities to ‘move fast and fix things’ led by Secretary of State Louise Haigh can purchase Passenger’s market-leading products via G-Cloud and SAM, ensuring objectives are met rapidly.
Passenger CEO Tom Quay comments, “Our bid team have had a busy summer, and I’m delighted that both G-Cloud and SAM have pre-approved our market-leading solutions for purchase by public transport authorities. As government policy in the UK moves us closer to franchising in some regions, this work has made it simple for organisations to buy readily available, tried and tested British technology off the shelf. Public sector colleagues must look to partner with the market if they are to deliver effectively and at pace for the travelling public. We’re ready to support them in that mission.”
Local authorities, combined authorities, regional transport bodies, national governments, public sector bodies wishing to procure a digital retail mobile app solution can now do so with minimal effort. Transport operators themselves can also make use of the SAM framework, reducing their own procurement resourcing needs.
Passenger works with Transport for Wales and Hertfordshire County Council, and directly with over 90 transport operators, as a digital partner with a wealth of demonstrable expertise the sector can leverage immediately. Please get in touch if you’d like to understand more about how the frameworks can support your procurement.
