Case Study

Supporting delivery of England's first Enhanced Partnership

A flexible and accessible multi-operator website that combines 25 operators across the ten districts in Hertfordshire, from a digital partner with a proven track record of delivering complex transport projects.

A comprehensive travel information website formed part of Hertfordshire County Council’s own commitments to the Enhanced Partnership with bus operators in the region and as such, was significant in the subsequent assessment by DfT of England’s first EP. The model has now been adopted nationally.

The Intalink website, powered by Passenger Cloud, enables passengers to plan their journey across every bus operator in the Hertfordshire region.

Changing commuter travel patterns

Hertfordshire County Council was the first local authority in England to put an Enhanced Partnership in place, following the publication of the National Bus Strategy in March 2021 and regional Bus Service Improvement Plans later that year.

The award decision was unanimous, given Passenger’s experience in the public transport arena and the success of projects they had completed with other local authorities.
