Back to the future for the bike
Cycling plays an important part in how we travel around towns and cities - and its popularity has bloomed during the current health crisis.
1st May 2020
For this weeks episode of the Making Passenger podcast, Matt and Tom speak to life-long cycling advocate Jason Falconer. Head of the BH Active Travel Forum, Jason, like many of us, is enthused by how the low levels of motor traffic at the moment and COVID lockdown restrictions are encouraging people to get out on their bikes. The question is – how do we keep them out there?
Starting with the roots of Sustrans and the active travel community here in Bournemouth, we discussed the implications of the COVID lockdown on city planning, and considered how streets could be redesigned to be able to work better for people.
Making Passenger is an ongoing conversation about how digital technology is shaping future mass transit mobility trends. We invite anyone who’s interested to get in touch on Twitter @makingpassenger or at [email protected]
